Welcome and Introduction
Planning Your Presentation: Steps to Success
The beginning of a winning presentation requires
planning, research, and analysis. The instructor will
take you through the steps you need to take, including
thinking about the topic, researching the topic and your
audience, organizing your thoughts, and employing
persuasive techniques during your presentation.
Keys to Effective Presentations: Using Positive Emotion
to Persuade
In this session, tips and techniques for delivering a
presentation will be discussed. The instructor will
teach you breathing exercises that help reduce
nervousness, tips on projecting your voice, techniques
that increase your confidence in delivering an effective
presentation, and strategies to use when answering Q&A.
Common do's and don'ts will be discussed. You will be
given a chance to practice some of these tips and
techniques in an interactive manner.
Enhancing Your Presentation with Visual Aids
Choosing the right visual aids may make or break your
presentation. You will learn what your visual options
are and when you should use them.

taught during the morning session:

Using persuasion to gain acceptance of your
recommendation
Don'ts-don't read notes; don't use technical jargon
